Most people have something specific that they would like to have for Christmas. I know that some people ask for peace and good will toward men, and others ask for tickets to the first passenger trip to the moon, but the thing is, these days, who do you ask?
I’ve got you covered. Of course, you can stick to tradition and write a letter to Santa Claus and mail it to him at the North Pole. Nothing wrong with that. Folks like me though, who are barely hanging onto their handwriting skills, due to a…

Thank you Lisa, You know what is sad that our grandchildren miss there nanie. She don't call them-has seen them twice in a year and a half. What did they do to lose their nanie? What happens to a person to become so selfish. I see more and more couples leaving their marriages to find greener pastures only to find misery. Sure the find happiness, fun or liberation only for season. The joy of those that really love them only becomes a distant memory.

Read on for something BIG I'm looking forward to...
I have had enough of the negativity, unfriendliness, begrudging, defensiveness, pride, and general lack of care for others.
This site is for building up the community. That includes residents, business, public service, schools, children and every member on this site.
I am deleting the negative posts that have showed up in the past few days, and I have every right to do so. Every member on MySaline has agreed to behave a certain…

This blog should probably be posted under the group "Now We're Cooking," but what the Elsie.
Many of you probably don't know that Gale Borden gave Eagle Brand Condensed and Sweetened Condensed Milk to the world in 1856. The Civil War made it a household name. It was eventually credited with lowering the infant mortality rate in the United States. What a gift!
Most of my favorite Christmas delicacies involve using Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk. When growing up, every year my Ma made Hello…

I was on the night shift last month and as I drove around the different districts that I was assigned to patrol I noticed one thing about each, several people leave their blinds and/or curtains open. Folks this is a very unsafe practice. While you are asleep the “bad guy(s)” are able to walk around and look in your windows, they then make their wish list of your stuff. The tip of the month is close your curtains or blinds when you go to bed. This will help us by keeping our crime rate low with f…

I have had several people approach me and comment that: "That lady on mysaline was really laying into you". Or "Boy you really told that one guy".
Guys, I don't know what your talking about. I don't post on her very often, for obvious reasons. I used too, but when the tone went decidedly negative around here I stepped back into the shadows and decided to stop participating in that rhetoric. I keep my account open so that people can contact me privately if they want too.
Just to set the record…

The California man in
this story wants opponents of same-sex marriage to ante-up and ban divorce. His reasoning is that if you really want to keep the sanctity of marriage, then you should never divorce. He is married with two kids.

A few weeks ago I decided to get my little nephew a hamster at the local pet shop. Since he has three other siblings.. all boys let me add. I made a decision to keep the hamster at my house for him to enjoy when he comes.
We walk into the pet shop and we go straight to the hamsters who were all peacefully sleeping. And the nice lady at the pet shop explained that gerbils were better pets and didn't bite like hamsters would. So me and my five year old nephew decided to get the gerbil. He picked…

I have three MySaline.com bumper stickers.
If you would like one, you may have it
IF
you are able to convince me that you will use it to further the cause!
What will you do with the sticker?
Who might see it where you put it?
Are you worthy?
Let's have some response and some votes on responses in either direction.
It's smack down time! Merry Christmas and good luck!

The Fiction Of Climate Science
Gary Sutton, 12.04.09, 10:00 AM EST
Why the climatologists get it wrong.
Many of you are too young to remember, but in 1975 our government pushed "the coming ice age."
Random House dutifully printed "THE WEATHER CONSPIRACY … coming of the New Ice Age." This may be the only book ever written by 18 authors. All 18 lived just a short sled ride from Washington, D.C. Newsweek fell in line and did a cover issue warning us of global cooling on April 28, 1975…

Miss Janice, my colleague and friend, bought (what was in her opinion) a lovely framed print from a well-known furniture store. She took it home and hubby promptly asked her to get rid of it. Now, Miss Janice paid a hundred and fifty smackeroos for that framed print and where I come from that much moolah outlayed for a "pickture" means it is museum quality art - the real thang. Miss Janice took it to a resale shop where it hung for purt near a year. No buyers. She brought it to work to give away…

My youngest daughter turned 20 on Saturday December 5. My head is still spinning. I think back over the years and can't help but wish I hadn't spent the first ten years of her young life in depression. But when I chose to stop being in such sad state, I was able to see clearly what a blessing this beautiful little creature God had entrusted me with is. He certainly blessed the latter 10 years of our relationship!!!
She loves God with the purest of heart. (Blessed are the pure in heart, for they…

Thanks, everyone. My birthday was busy from Dawn til bedtime. The last thing was a chocolate lover's delight dinner at Midtown Church. This was a gift from my daughter, Shelli. She and I attended together. Elvis entertained afterwards. He sat on my lap and sang to me for a short while!! Shelli has the video. Loved it.

We are very saddened in the RBC by the loss of Elder Willie Barnes Jr. He was an outstanding man who will be greatly missed. Even though we are deeply hurt by this loss, we are elated that our maker, GOD the father has called his faithful servant home..Please join me in prayers for the Barnes-Norris families in their time of bereavement.

One of our beloved Christmas favorites hits the big screen again in IMAX 3-D.
We all know the story, we all know the ending. And you can't beat Jim Carrey animated, that's for sure!
Masterpiece moviemaking. Nuff said.
